The art of writing letters has been lost somewhere between calling people and commenting on their pictures. The art of writing letters has been lost somewhere between emojis and applications. The art of writing letters has been lost somewhere between the hours of time.

This World Post Day, let’s bring the magic back! To participate in this anthology click here. The format for writing for this book is:

  • Name of the sender with Instagram handle (Addresses and contact numbers will not be printed in the book)
  • Date of writing the letter
  • Greeting for the reciever (Eg. Dear Maya)
  • Main body of the letter
  • Complimentary end

You can find the format of an informal letter here. It is important to remember that you are a writer and here the letters are a creative expression which is why you are free to experiment with the accepted format of a letter and be as creative as you can!

It is time to revisit the personal touch that a letter had. When every thought, dream, and experience were to be penned down on those pages. Whether you missed someone or loved them, whether you had achieved something new or were trying to get over a battle lost. Whatever the reason for the letter may be, they simply never let you down.

So, it is time. It is time to write a letter again; it is time to bleed on paper again.
